Harriet Oxley

Costume Designer

Harriet is a Melbourne-based theatre designer working mainly with costume design for theatre, opera, dance and circus. She has designed costumes for Chunky Move productions Assembly (2011) and Mix Tape (2010). Throughout her career, Harriet has designed costumes for award-winning choreographers such as Lucy Guerin, Gideon Obarzanek (Chunky Move and Sydney Dance Company), Stephanie Lake, Michelle Heaven, and Ros Warby. She recently designed Attractor for Lucy Guerin Inc. and Dancenorth and Dark Chorus for Lucy Guerin Inc.

For Victorian Opera Harriet has designed six productions including the recent co-production with Circus Oz Laughter and Tears and won a Green Room Award in 2011 for The Bear/Angelique.

Harriet has also collaborated with Tamara Saulwick, Dislocate, NICA, VCA’s music theatre department, and designed the big-budget musical Moonshadow.

Harriet is a graduate of VCA theatre design and Fashion at RMIT.
