Laura Jane Turner


Laura Jane Turner is a Melbourne based actor working across film and theatre.

Film work includes Dioscuri Films’ Pretty Little Things, the Australian horror/comedy flick The Killage, and This Little Piggy. In theatre, she has worked with Red Stitch Actors Theatre performing in the much lauded Glory Dazed, and has recently finished a tour with Complete Works Theatre Company playing Olive in Summer of the Seventeenth Doll.

Laura Jane is a graduate of the VCA’s Bachelor of Dramatic Art (Acting), where she was not only entrusted with many leading roles such as in The Tempest, Savage in Limbo and The Cherry Orchard, she was also a recipient of two prestigious theatre scholarships – the Lionel Gell Foundation Scholarship and the Irene Mitchell Bequest. In addition to these scholarships, Laura Jane was recently nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Los Angeles Film Review for her work in This Little Piggy.

In 2016 she will perform in Chunky Move’s Complexity of Belonging a project by Anouk van Dijk and Faulk Richter as part of the New Zealand Festival.
