Niklas Pajanti is an award winning lighting designer working across a range of contemporary art and performance media. For Chunky Move, Pajanti has worked on 247 Days (2013), An Act of Now (2012), Black Marrow (2009), Singularity (2006), I Want to Dance Better at Parties (2005), Tense Dave and Three’s a Crowd (2003).
Niklas is Lighting Designer for Complexity of Belonging – a project by Falk Richter and Anouk van Dijk that will premiere as part of the 2014 Melbourne Festival.
His work has featured with companies including Melbourne Theatre Company, Bell Shakespeare Company, Sydney Theatre Company, Malthouse Theatre, Belvoir Street Theatre, The Eleventh Hour, BalletLab, Brink Productions, Dancehouse, Kage Physical Theatre, Not Yet It’s Difficult, Australian Centre for the Moving Image, Melbourne International Arts Festival, Adelaide Festival and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Niklas is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts and holds postgraduate qualifications in Illuminating Engineering from The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
