Job Opportunity – Marketing & Communications Manager
An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and experienced professional to work with one of Australia’s leading contemporary dance companies.
Led by internationally acclaimed Choreographer Anouk van Dijk, Chunky Move’s multi-tiered programming initiatives nurture and underpin a strong and vibrant dance culture in our home city of Melbourne and create critically acclaimed and popular productions of scale for presentations nationally and internationally.
The Marketing & Communications Manager plays an important leadership role in a busy and tightly knit team. You will develop, implement and manage Chunky Move’s effective marketing and communications strategies in order to promote the Company’s vision in Australia and overseas. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the marketing mix, including management of external contractors, and for building the year-round profile of Chunky Move through innovative marketing and public relations plans. The Marketing & Communications Manager manages the Public Programs & Communications Coordinator.
To be successful you will be an energetic and imaginative strategic thinker. You will be experienced in the areas of strategic marketing and budget management. Previous staff management experience is desirable.
This is a collaborative role within a dynamic team. The ability to communicate clearly, succinctly and persuasively is essential. To thrive in this role you will have a strong personal connection to contemporary performance.
