Luigi Vescio

Luigi Vescio is a Melbourne-based choreographer and performer. He has trained in numerous techniques from classical ballet to musical theatre. He joined Chunky Move in 2015 as the Choreographic Secondment in Depth of Field (2015) and L U C I D (2016). Since then he has performed in Anouk van Dijk’s Rule of Thirds (2016) and ANTI GRAVITY (2017) as part of Asia TOPA and Dance Massive.

Luigi’s original creations include Human Together (Body Conference 1.0, Conduit Arts Gallery), BOILING POINT (Dancehouse) and One Of Them (Wellington, Body Festival Christchurch and Tempo Dance Festival Auckland, New Zealand). Luigi has been a choreographic collaborator of Portuguese theatre director John Romão on Teorema.

Luigi has performed and collaborated with a diverse range of international artists and companies including Rafael Alvarez (Portugal), The Delta Project, James Batchelor and Collaborators, Tasdance, Graeme Murphy AM, Stephanie Lake, Footnote New Zealand Dance, Craig Bary, Sarah Foster-Sproull, Lyne Pringle, Otto Ramstad & Olive Bieringa (Body Cartography Project).

Luigi is a graduate of New Zealand School of Dance.
