Marlo Benjamin

Marlo Benjamin is an Australian based contemporary dance performer. Born and raised in Sydney, Marlo has performed in Chunky Move’s Assembly (2012) by Gideon Obarzanek as part of the Sydney festival, and  It Sounds Silly (2014) by Adam Wheeler. Marlo is set to perform in Chunky Move’s ANTI GRAVITY (2017) as part of Asia TOPA and Dance Massive.

She began her career performing in Force Majeure’s The Age I’m In (2008) at the Opera House for the Sydney Arts Festival, and then touring the show to both Canada and Korea (2009).  Marlo then went on to dance in Baz Luhrmann’s feature film The Great Gatsby (2011) and Force Majeure/Sydney Theatre Company’s Never Did Me Any Harm (2012).

Marlo worked with Martin Del Amo on his development of CHAMPIONS, and touring Australia with Force Majeure/Sydney Theatre Company’s Never Did Me Any Harm. Marlo has performed for Rafael Bonocella/Sydney Dance Company at Sydney Arts Festival (2017).

Marlo trained at the Victorian College of the Arts and Sydney Dance Company’s Pre Professional Year (2015).
