He has followed Countertechnique rigorously having participated in three Chunky Move One Body One Career intensives (2013, 2015, 2016) and attained his Teacher Countertechnique certification in 2016.

Linton graduated from WAAPA in 2012, receiving the award for ‘Most outstanding graduating student’. During his studies he danced in the choreographies of Tanja Liedtke, Michael Whaites, Gabrielle Nankivell, Melanie Lane, Justin Rutzou and Jeff Hsieh amongst others. Linton has also created short works in creative collaboration with Brooke Leeder, Louise Honeybul and Sarah Chaffey.

He was the recipient of a 2015 Australia Council Artstart grant for emerging artists and spent several months training and performing at festivals, workshops and intensives across Europe. He has also invested heavily in the movement languages of Forsythe and GaGa through STRUT Dance, performing Decadance (2016) and One Flat Thing Reproduced (2017).
Linton has a passion for teaching that has grown over the last decade from leading ballroom lessons, contemporary classes, vinyasa yoga and now Countertechnique. This has developed a keen curiosity as to what knowledge we choose to share and how we do so to best support others.

Class with Linton

Within Countertechnique, I am able to move with my mind and think with my body. I am continuously curious in the investigation of my possibilities, choices and abilities that continue to grow in virtuosity, sensitivity and potential.
